BGGA student Adam Podkonicky talks about what life is like at Bishops Gate Golf Academy.
At BGGA, we’re on a strict schedule. Every day we go to school and play golf. On the weekends, we go on trips to have fun, relax and get away from golf. We must study a lot for Montverde Academy.
My daily schedule is to get up in the morning and go to school. We get back around 12:45 and have lunch. We then have 30 minutes to relax and get ready to practice. We practice golf until 5:30 p.m. and then get changed for fitness. After that it’s on to dinner and then study and go to sleep. That’s every day during the week.
The facilities here are perfect. They are the best in the world. There’s nothing like this Academy in Europe. I play every day, even on the weekend. They really help me get ready for events.
To prepare for a tournament, I start on Monday to finish my swing for the week. From Tuesday to Thursday I’m on the golf course to practice the golf skills I had on the range. I transition my golf skills onto the golf course. I practice a lot of short game, especially my putting.
