Katherine Harding

Katherine Harding

Student Residence Director

Katherine Harding leads the Housing Team at BGGA and makes it her mission to know each student personally. Katherine possesses a calm nature and great organizational skills which make her an approachable person for students and staff alike. Katherine played basketball, ran cross-country and track in high school. After graduating from college, she practiced sports medicine for four years before extending her interest in human anatomy to yoga. When she became a youth yoga instructor, Katherine found her passion for kids. Before joining BGGA, she worked with youth as a yoga instructor, a teaching house parent for neglected youth, and a therapeutic counselor for developmentally disabled children. Katherine has molded a great team of house parents with a variety of skills to provide a home from home for students at BGGA.

Matthew Harding

Matthew Harding

Matthew Harding is a strong role model for our young students. Matthew played football and ran track in high school. He was named Dallas Morning News Athlete of the Year for 2005 and received a full football scholarship to Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. He graduated with a degree in computer science and a minor in business. Matthew knew he always wanted to give back and work with kids, so, after graduating, he served as a technical recruiter for a year and then became a secondary high school teacher and a football, track, and strength and conditioning coach for two years. Matthew has been a house parent and therapeutic counselor for the past 3 years and is proud to be part of the BGGA family.

Danielle Jasiewicz

Danielle Jasiewicz

Danielle Jasiewicz has endless energy and enthusiasm in her role as house parent. Throughout college, Danielle ran on the Cross Country and Track teams while earning her Bachelor of Science in Health. She is currently furthering her education by working towards her chemical dependence certification, she is already a Certified Nurse Assistant. Danielle’s passion for working with young people is evident as soon as you meet her and this positive attitude makes Danielle a valuable team member and a popular house parent with the young people here at BGGA.

Myriam Perea

Myriam Perea

Myriam Perea is originally from Colombia and moved to USA in 2001. Myriam is a Spanish speaker and has several years’ experience as a house parent which makes her a perfect mother figure for our students from Latin America. Myriam is multi skilled and has many talents - being a photographer and massage therapist. Myriam’s love of children is clear as soon as you meet her and her energetic nature contributes to the ethos of the Housing Team.

Eddie Elsasser

Eddie Elsasser

Eddie grew up in Bridgeport, Connecticut. After completing high school, Eddie attended Johnson Wales University where he successfully completed a AOS in Culinary Science and holds a SafeServ Certification. Eddie has held positions at the Ritz-Carlton in Philadelphia and Naples, Florida and owned his own catering company. Though passionate about the culinary arts, he also has a heart for service. Eddie has undertaken several mission trips outside of the U.S. He believes that laughter and a sense of fun is essential for life. One of Eddie’s favorite sayings …You don’t get to know Eddie, you experience him!

Lynne Elsasser

Lynne Elsasser

Lynne was born in Cape Town, South- Africa. Although Lynne graduated from the University of the Western Cape with a law degree, her parents always supported her love for the fine arts. Lynne studied dance, vocal training and musical theater from a very young age. After moving to Ireland in 2001, Lynne realized that the legal field was not where her passion lies and she retrained as a dance and fitness teacher. Lynne is a passionate advocate for education. She knows first-hand what an asset a strong education can be. Having lived on three continents, she is also a proponent of world culture and works daily to, through her own life and experiences, show that diversity should be celebrated. She believes firmly that the youth is the backbone of every society and that every effort should be made to educate, motivate and educate young minds.

Jessi Campos

Jessi Campos

Jessi is originally from Mexico but moved to the U.S. at the age of 14 and went to high school in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina where she played soccer, tennis, basketball, track and cross country. From there, she attended Coker College to play soccer and tennis and received a Physical Fitness Programming degree. Jessi has a passion to coach younger kids, so being a house parent fits her perfectly! She loves being around kids and staying active with them.

Josh Burris

Josh Burris

Josh played football and ran track in high school, where he brought a strong sense of leadership and enthusiasm to the defensive backs. He was named to the Texas All-State Football Team in 2004 and received a full football scholarship to The University of Tulsa in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He graduated with two degrees in business administrations and marketing, and later completed his Masters of Management from the University of Phoenix. After college, Josh worked in the mortgage industry as a Loss Mitigation and Junior Underwriter before going back to his passion of helping teens and young adults understand the importance of education. He served as a university enrollment representative before arriving at Bishops Gate.

Rachel Downey

Rachel Downey

Rachel was born and raised in Connecticut and earned an English degree from Albertus Magnus College in New Haven, Connecticut. She previously worked with kids as a lifeguard back in Connecticut and found them to be her favorite part of the job. Most recently coming from the banking world as a teller, Rachel is excited to work with kids again.
