Over the weekend, 38 students from Bishops Gate Golf Academy traveled to Savannah, Georgia, to compete in the International Junior Golf Tour’s Georgia Junior at Savannah Harbor. After a 45-minute frost delay, round 1 kicked off in some of the coldest weather our players have played in. They embraced the cold and fought their way around a tough track.

In the Boys 15-19 Division, BGGA student Tae Young Kang came out victorious. After battling shot-for-shot with the second-place finisher, Tae Young claimed his victory after a 3-hole playoff. He carded 7 birdies and 24 pars on the weekend. Brett Inserra claimed a T4 fininsh at just 2-over-par, followed closely by Jose Haces who claimed a solo-6th finish. Dong Jin Park and Ian Peng shared a tie for 7th, and Blaise Vanitvelt filled out the top-10 finishers from BGGA at T9. Three other BGGA students claimed top-20 finishes.
