TransWorld Sport, the world’s longest-running weekly international television sports program, spent two days at Bishops Gate Golf Academy filming a feature on current BGGA student Robin Tiger Williams. The 10-minute segment is expected to air next month.
During interviews with TransWorld Sport, Williams and his coach, Manuel Bermudez, discussed a variety of topics including the unique training environment at BGGA, his junior career, and where Robin hopes to be several years down the road. At just 13 years old, Williams already has an impressive resume. In 2013, he won the Boys 11-12 Division of the Future Champions of Golf World Championship, and last year, he won the Boys 11-12 Division of the Wee Wonders British Championship.
Williams hails from Peterborough, England, and is in his first year at BGGA. He honors his South African birthplace, but plays for the United Kingdom because that is where he learned to play golf.
Produced by IMG Media in London, TransWorld Sport has been continuously operating since 1987. It now reaches over 50 countries and nearly 200 million households.
